The Future is in Your Mouth

Image
This morning Angie and I heard a sermon that spoke to our hearts. Driving home from church and through out the day the words echoed in my mind. It was one of those sermons that you hear, knowing that God had you in mind! I did have something ready to go for this week. My agenda...my words. Yet, sometimes we have to step aside. After hearing this mornings message and the impact it has had on my day, I had to share it with you. The sermon is entitled, "The Future is in Your Mouth" by Pastor Glenn Berteau of Calvary Temple Worship Center in Modesto, CA. You may watch the sermon series live at ctwc.com on Sunday's, by clicking the "Watch the Service Live" link at 11am (PST)/ 2pm (EST). I hope that this message is a blessing to you today. His call. His gifts. Your purpose. Irrevocable. You may copy and past to the video through US Stream: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/9235833 or Copy and past the following link: http://www.ctwc.com/live

From the Classroom: Jump Into God's Word!

...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. As business owners who profess our faith and the claim that God is all powerful (omniscient)...all-knowing (omniscience)...everywhere present (omnipresent) we must jump into God's word. To be effective business owners the word of God must be at the tip of our tongues when it seems our business is running into walls. It is God's Word that must sustain us when it seems hard and we want to throw in the towel. It must be God's Word that lays the foundation of all ethical decisions made when it comes to serving and leading others. When we ask God to move in our life (revival: an awakening, in a church or community, of interest in and care for matters relating to personal religion.), three things will happen: 1. A movement towards God's Word... 2. A movement towards Restoration (to bring back into existence, use, or the like) from sin in our lives that separates us from God.... 3. A movement of the Hol

Voices from the Past: It's Time to Let Go of the Goods!

Last week Angie, the girls and myself helped my sister-in-law and brother-in-law move into their new home. There was so much excitement in the air yet the stress of moving kept bringing us to the reality of the event. My sister-in-law kept saying, "Where did all this stuff come from!?" After 48hrs everything was moved in and the house was set up to be operational! When my brother-in-law and I went to get the last load from the old house, he looked at me and said, "I did not think we were going to move all this stuff in just 48hrs." Just a few weeks ago we decided to have a garage sale of our own. As we begin cleaning the garage and attic I could not believe how much STUFF we had! Come on now...admit it...you've been there too! Stuff that we have accumulated in the last nineteen years. The sad thing, some of the stuff I had totally forgotten about. As we set up the garage sale Angie would ask "How much are we going to sell this stuff for?" My response,

Seminar Year 2011: Don't Take a Step Back, Get Ready for the Comeback!

As you read this you are either converging on Dallas, or just getting back from Seminar. I am sure it was another moment in your MK career that brought challenges and new dreams. Whether it was hearing a top Director or National speak, you left inspired. For those who are packing and getting ready to make the journey, I am sure you are filled with anticipation. This is an exciting time of the year for the Pink Culture. New dreams are set and challenges given. It is a time to be filled with words of wisdom and letting go of the words that have hindered us. It is a time to rejoice in your victories and dust off yourself from your failures. Mary Kay once said, For every failure, there's an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a roadblock, take a detour. There is a saying I heard a number of years ago.... "Don't take a step back, get ready for the comeback!" We all have choices. I am sure you have heard it so many times...yet today I w
